  1. Tues., March 3: Buy Tickets for USA Olympic Softball Team Tour Stop

    The 2020 USA Softball Women’s National Team will play an exhibition doubleheader at Killian Softball Stadium Wed., June 3, 5:30 p.m., as the “Stand Beside Her” tour rolls through the US in preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Tickets go on sale Tues., March 3, at Parks Administration (1923 N. Weller Ave., 417-864-1049), Killian Sports Complex (2141 E. Pythian St., 417-837-5817), and Dan Kinney Family Center (2702 S.   1. NOW! Summer Camp Registration

    The Park Board offers all-summer day camps and seasonal camps at many park locations including: SPARC Summer Camps at many school-park locations, Farm Camps at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park, Equestrian Camps at Valley Water Mill Equestrian Center, Junior Golf Clinics at the Park Board golf courses, Zoo education programs at Dickerson Park Zoo, Archery camps at Springfield Archery Complex, beginner and advanced ice hockey and figure skating camps at Jordan Valley Ice Park, outdoor exploration adventures with Outdoor Initiatives, and bike and skateboarding camps at Springfield Skate Park. In addition to SPARC summer day camps, they also offer before/after childcare with Explore at various Springfield Public School locations and a specialty sports camp called smALL Stars, in August.

    Enjoy the benefits of gardening and growing your own food — even if you don’t have a yard! Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park has 60 raised garden beds available for rent March-October. Choose from 8’x16’ or 16’x16’. You chose what to grow. Maintenance and watering are your responsibility.
